Paris is one of the most iconic and romantic cities in the world, and with so many famous tourist attractions, it's no wonder that it's also the most visited. Paris offers many options for accommodation from exquisitely luxurious Parisian hotel suites with breathtaking views to studios or 1 bedroom apartments in aparthotels. Paris has two major international airports, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Paris-Orly Airport (ORY), as well as the low-cost Beauvais-Tillé Airport (BVA), about 50 miles north of the city.

Hotel rooms in Paris, like in a lot of older, big metropolitan cities, can run quite small, so the luxury and added space of a hotel suite in Paris is more than welcome. The city is divided in 20 districts, or arrondissements, each with its own distinct vibe. Getting around Paris is easy enough with public transportation, but it is important to choose what district to stay in based on what kind of experience you are looking for.

Our Recommended Hotels and Suites in Paris For a luxurious Art Déco experience close to the Arc de Triomphe and the legendary Champs-Élysées avenue, check out our pick for Paris: the deluxe suite at the 5-star Hotel du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe. For a comfortable, budget-friendly option, book a studio at the Citadines Prestige on the Seine in the Saint Germain des Pres district, where you can enjoy cooking in your own kitchen after buying some authentic French ingredients at the local farmer's market. For a more traditional Parisian experience, check out the executive suites at the immaculate Park Hyatt Paris - Vendome conveniently located near the Louvres. Finally, there are several options for hotel suites at the Mandarin Oriental, where you can always be certain of a great experience. The Mandarin Oriental is well located near Place Vendôme, and features great outdoor spaces (including a rooftop terrace) and a rare find in the heart of Paris - an indoor swimming pool.

Things to Do in Paris Any trip to Paris isn't complete without visiting the Louvres Museum. For a perfect Sunday afternoon, take a stroll in the Luxembourg Gardens, then follow the Seine River to the Louvres and its Tuileries Garden, and have an afternoon tea at La Pâtisserie des Rêves. Paris is made for walking, and one of the best ways to experience the city and its people is to leisurely walk around (bring good walking shoes and an umbrella!) – in the Marais District, in the Saint Germain neighborhood, or around the Sacré Coeur in Montmartre.

Paris is also a symbol of fine dining, but be very wary of restaurants packed with tourists. You can eat exceptionally well at Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze, which has a great budget-friendly lunch, or for a really memorable Parisian dining experience, try Le Cinq at The Georges V.
